The creation and introduction into production of progressive polymer compositions with unique physico-chemical properties is one of the important factors influencing the development of many industries and the agro-industrial complex. This paper describes the technological process of synthesis of a new polymer composition for the manufacture of sealing elements of a wide range of agricultural machinery products. The technical result of the development is aimed at increasing the values of physical and mechanical parameters (hardness, strength, tear resistance, etc.) for parts of mechanisms providing sealing of pneumatic systems of agricultural machinery, as well as increasing the service life of rubber products operated at high pressure (ranging from 5 to 12 kg/cm2) and multiple uneven cyclic loads. As a result of the study, the optimal composition of the polymer composite material was established in the following ratio of components, wt.h: butyl rubber per 100 wt.h. rubber, stearic acid - 1.5-2.5 wt.h., hexol COD - 0.4-0.5 wt.h., zinc whitewash - 6.0-8.0 wt.h., ground sulfur - 2.0-3.0 wt.h., octyl-phenol resin grade SP1056 - 10.0-14.0 wt.h., carbon black grade N330 - 40.0-45.0 wt.h., carbon black grade N550 - 20.0-30.0 wt.h. It was found that the developed polymer composition has higher values of physico-mechanical parameters in comparison with the prototype: the modulus of elasticity at 300% elongation is 16.7% higher, the conditional tensile strength is 21.8%; the elongation at break is 2.1 times greater. There is also a slight increase in tear resistance and Shore hardness.
