Development of an innovative strategy and success factors for Innovative Management Systems (IMS) using the Stage-Gate process

The article examines the experience of using the Stage-Gate process, proposed by Professor Robert Cooper, which has been as a basis worked out of an innovative strategy for an innovative company, which is at the same time stable, but also constantly changing, variable and flexible, design study of all stages of product business development. The qualitative transitions of the project team’s work from each stage of the project to the point of decision-making have been worked out. Each point is a zone of control, the analysis of which developed a method of characterization of decision-making in the control points of the project in the company «Innovative management Systems» (IMS) and proposed the main success factors for bringing the company to a higher strategic level of development, taking into account the primary focus on creating their own innovations as well as the organization and support of new products and services. As a result, it was concluded that the use of the Stage-Gate process is an effective management tool that allows to identify the company’s potential, work out every point of making management decisions and determine the key success factors for a company to get successful positioning in the market as an innovative one.
