The demand for fish and seafood products will constantly increase. In the Strategy for the development of the fishery complex of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030, the production of commercial aquaculture is presented as a “new driving force for the development of the fishery complex”. Aquaculture technologies are actively developing. At present, it is possible to grow fish not only in reservoirs, but also in recirculating water supply installations, in which sturgeon, trout, crayfish, shrimp and other types of fish are bred. Ensuring optimal conditions for keeping and feeding fish allows advanced farms to receive up to 120 kg per 1 square meter of water. The article presents technical solutions for a small enterprise that grows fish in limited areas. Creating an aquaculture farm is a complex investment project. The main production indicator of the efficiency of fish farming modernization is the increase in the mass of fish grown per 1 square meter of reservoir per year. The article provides an average investment cost structure for an indoor fish farming project. The results of scientific research can be applied to create new and modernize existing fish farms.
