The article deals with topical issues about the quality system of providing hotel services, namely, standardization as the main tool for the formation of an effective service. The definition of the standard, the quality of hotel services is given, the types of standardization, types of standards are considered, corporate standards are studied in depth, as well as the stages of their implementation in a hotel enterprise. The article also highlights the problems of standards in a modern hotel enterprise, the procedure for conducting a service audit and its tools. The issue of standardization and improvement of service is considered in detail on the example of the hotel "Mansion on Karl Marx" in the city of Staritsa, Tver region.
