Introduction. Ceftriaxone is an effective cephalosporin antibiotic, but its use can lead to undesirable effects. Directed transport of drugs reduces these effects, the therapeutic dose of the drug and the frequency of administration. Aim. To develop a ceftriaxone delivery system using erythrocyte vectors for non-obstructive pyelonephritis to selectively affect the organ in order to increase its efficiency and reduce toxicity. Materials and methods. Studies conducted on rats, non-obstructive pyelonephritis was modeled by intraperitoneal administration of arachidonic acid. The state of the excretory function of the kidneys was judged by the concentration of urea and creatinine in the blood. To incorporate ceftriaxone into the erythrocyte stroma, the method of hypoosmotic hemolysis was used. Ceftriaxone was quantitated by HPLC. Results. It was established that five-fold administration of ceftriaxone to animals with pyelonephritis normalized body temperature for 10-12 days, excretory kidney function for 12-14 days...
