Development of a mechanism for managing the foreign economic activity of the region on the basis of industry specialization

The subject of the study is the foreign economic activity (FEA) of the region. The purpose of the study is to develop a mechanism for managing regional foreign economic activity. The author's approach to the development of a foreign economic activity management mechanism is proposed. The methodology of the work involved the analysis of the current mechanism of management of foreign economic activity of the regions with the identification of its shortcomings. Possible criteria for the selection of enterprises are proposed. The conducted research allowed us to propose an algorithm for developing a strategy within the framework of the 1st stage of an effective foreign trade management mechanism. The results can be used in further research on this topic. The necessity of developing a comprehensive strategy and a mechanism for managing regional foreign economic activity is substantiated.
