Development of methodological approaches to the formation of development strategy of city-forming enterprises

This article is devoted to the formation of the development strategy for city-forming enterprises and the improvement of methodical vertical of strategizing. As a result, some methodological prerequisites for the development strategy of city-forming enterprises, connected with a stage-by-stage approach to the development of strategies as well as with the external and internal environment of this process were formulated. The conclusion is that the basis of the development strategy of industrial enterprises of monotowns must be the creation and maintenance of sustainable competitive advantages which provide an opportunity to get economic benefits (rent) inaccessible to competitors.
