Development of a methodological approach to the assessment of interdependence between the innovative development of the region and the presence of industrial associations

Regional development in the current economic conditions is determined by many factors, both internal and external. Nevertheless, the stability of the industrial sector largely determines the further dynamics of regional development but speaking about the incentives for the development of the region's industry, as a rule, they refer to indicators of innovative development, which are determined by both the scientific and industrial potential of the territory. At the same time, the presence of leading industrial enterprises and their associations in the region is important, since it is they, together with infrastructure organizations, that form a balanced framework for the innovative transformation of the industrial landscape of the region, acting as its supporting links. The article attempts to substantiate this assumption and presents the results of developing a methodological approach to assessing the relationship between the innovative development of the region and the presence of industrial associations in it based on the ranking method.
