This paper presents an analytical description of the mechanism for formation of extensive charge structures, which were experimentally observed on dielectric single-side foiled films that form air gap with high voltage needle electrode in ambient air. Scientific importance of the studied issues is caused by solving of fundamental problem of gas discharges stabilizing within dense media. Dynamics of powder electrographic structures is connected with charges wave excitation, which is caused by discharge of the ions of low-ionized surface layer. The proposed assumptions reduce the problem to description of process of potential texture conversion on electrostatic target during radiation treatment by beam of negative ions. Usage of mathematical methods for corona discharge allowed to obtain an equation, which binds the expansion velocity of charge structure and the constituent of ions current density that is a normal to the dielectric surface. However, sophistication of obtained equation caused the transferring to numerical solution.
