Development of the directions of competitiveness increase of tourist services on the regional market based on the modified technique of "Regional tourism competitiveness index (RTCI)" (by example of Irkutsk region)

Now tourism is becoming one of the most dynamically developing spheres of Russian national economy. Contributing factor of this tendency is the essential strengthening of competition among the regional markets of tourist services aggravating need of competitiveness increase. In this regard the question of development of the perspective directions of competitiveness increase of tourist services on regional markets is represented as the most relevant one. Checking an opportunity and expediency of development of the directions of competitiveness increase of tourist services of the Irkutsk region on the market with use of provisions of the technique «Regional tourism competitiveness index» (RTCI) became the purpose of the present article. Working hypothesis of article is the provision that the technique of «RTCI» is the most effective tool developing the perspective directions of competitiveness increase of tourist services on the regional markets as it allows to calculate quickly and qualitatively the level of competitiveness for each separate element due to universal character of the used elements and the applied methods of quantitative data processing. The methodological base of this research was made by such theoretical and empirical scientific methods as measurement, induction and scientific modeling. On the basis of results of assessment of competitiveness level of the tourist services of the Irkutsk region on the market received with application of a technique of «RTCI», the author researches two directions of development of this market of the tourist services promoting increase of its competitiveness level. As a result the practical possibility and expediency of wide use of a technique of «RTCI» for development and the choice of the most perspective directions of competitiveness increase of tourist services on various regional markets is proved and this fact has the high importance in scientific and practical aspects.
