Development of practical recommendations for the selection of foam concrete compositions at the building industry enterprises

The analysis of the advantages of foam concrete in comparison with other wall materials in terms of indicators: purpose, material consumption, energy efficiency, environmental friendliness, fire resistance, thermal conductivity, sound insulation, durability is carried out. The composition and characteristics of the technological line equipment designed specifically for the technology under consideration are presented. This made it possible to obtain foam concrete products with an expanded range of sizes; to reduce the total metal consumption of the technological line to 30%; reduce the amount of manual labor; increase production productivity; improve the quality of manufactured products. Further, the authors give recommendations on the selection of foam concrete compositions. One of the main tasks in this case is the rational use of all raw materials and technological capabilities. The selection of the composition of foam concrete is proposed to be carried out by the calculation and experimental method by successive operations. An algorithm for selecting the composition of the foam concrete mixture has been developed. The given comparative technical and economic indicators testify to the feasibility of producing foam concrete using a single-stage cutting technology using an open-type turbulent foam concrete mixer. With a high level of profitability, capital investments are paid off in a short time. The determining causal factors include the shape and dimensions of the mixer, the shape and dimensions of the activator, the rotation speed and the technological features of the air intake. A method has been developed for the selection of the composition of foam concrete, taking into account the established regularities of the influence of the water-cement ratio and the concentration of the foaming agent, as well as the physical, mechanical and operational properties of foam concrete.
