In this article, the authors attempted to disclose the features of the development of innovative approaches to the development of regional employment programs in the small business system. The purpose of the work is to determine the specifics of compiling and implementing relevant approaches to the development of employment programs for small businesses. The need for new approaches to the development of employment programs is linked to the prospects for expanding the scope of employment in the small business system. The reduction in employment in this economic segment can lead to increased tensions in the labor market.
