Development of technology of heating of differential metal molds for casting of cylinder bushings

On the basis of the conducted analysis of different approaches to assess the energy consumption, the environment, and ensuring consumer properties of the casting of cylinder bushings in their manufacture centrifugally we propose a technology that allows to regulate the conditions of crystallization of castings. For justifying the parameters of formation of homogeneous properties by the bushing height we used the method of mathematical description of the effect of heating the metal mold with different sections of its wall while minimizing the stress level. It has been shown that it can be most effectively achieved by electric current heating during cyclic mode of inductor operation periodically disconnecting it. Thus, the total heating time is 4.2 hr., while disconnection is for 1.2 hours, and the number of cycles should be at least three.
