The ultrasonic measuring system for the layered metal samples diagnostic has been created. Layers steel+steel and copper+steel have been investigated. The method of welding by the explosion was used in preparation of the layered structures. If a defect is present the total reflection is observed for all frequencies used. Consequently, the energy transmission coefficient is equal zero. The efficiency of the developed method for a layered system with bimetal layers is thereby demonstrated.
