Development of the agro-industrial complex of the region of the Russian Federation

The development of the agro-industrial complex of the Far Eastern Federal District should be based on the application of the knowledge economy. The knowledge economy is significant for import substitution programs because it provides the ability to transfer specialized knowledge to other organizations in a rapidly changing, sometimes uncertain market environment and an internationally outwardly oriented economic environment. In connection with the foregoing, the author of this article made an attempt to scientific analysis and critical understanding of the problem of development of the agro-industrial complex of the Far Eastern Federal District, from the standpoint of the need to introduce elements of the knowledge economy into the production process of agricultural enterprises.
