Currently, the widespread interest in the subject of investments interprets the need for commercial banks to enter into a competitive struggle for a relatively new financial services market in Russia. The article discusses the current situation of brokerage operations. The main distinctive features of the brokerage activity of a commercial bank and a separate professional participant in the securities market are considered, as well as the problems of a commercial bank in the implementation of brokerage operations of individuals.
