Children's tourism development in the Republic of Tatarstan

The article presents the main features, social significance, role and problems of organizing children’s tourism in Russia, in general, and in the region. The article explores various points of view on the concept of children’s tourism. When carrying out a theoretical study, the authors rely on existing regulations, since the organization of children’s tourism requires competent control of the organization’s safety due to the high social significance of the research subject. The authors consider the functions and tasks of children’s tourism, identify the existing problems of organizing children’s tourism in Russia at the federal level. Based on the study of various points of view, possible ways of solving the selected problems are formulated. In the process of studying and analyzing the existing statistical information reflecting the organization of children’s tourism in Russia and the Republic of Tatarstan, the authors identify the problem of an insufficient base of existing statistical data. In the course of the study, the authors study the existing regulations governing the organization of children’s tourism and make the conclusion that regulations duplicate certain rules. After conducting a study from the federal to the regional level, the authors identify regional tour operators involved in organizing children’s tourism. In the course of the study, the authors conduct a comparative characteristic and identify problems limiting the development of children’s tourism at the regional level, the main of which are the high cost of programs, low adaptation of tours for schoolchildren, insufficient content of sites with information on school tours and organization requirements, etc.
