Federalism development and regionalisation in Russia

The article is devoted to the problem of correspondence between federalism as state strategy for formation of new (democratic) political and legal space, which presupposes unity of multi-component state for the sake of preserving cultural, territorial diversity and regionalisation, making the process of regional structuring of space as well as more active participation of regions in economic, social and political life on the national level. The article tackles problems of impositions charges of the processes of federalisation and regionalisation in the present-day Russia, influence of different factors on aggravation of federalism asymmetry, breaches in balance in the relations Centre - regions.
