Flexibility development of swimmers 12-13 aged using fitness systems to increase the step length at a distance of 100 meters by butterfly stroke

The article discusses the importance of flexibility for swimmers who specialize in the butterfly style. The authors consider the features of flexibility development and the possibility of reducing the number of steps at a distance of 100 meters. The development of flexibility contributes to effective techniques development for overcoming hundred-meter race butterfly, which affects the efficiency of movement in swimming, thereby reducing the number of steps in the distance and observed the improvement of athletic performance. In the course of the experimental study, measurements of the flexibility of the shoulder joint, extension in the hip joint, plantar extension, from a sitting position, as well as control over the number of steps (cycles) at a distance were made. The program of swimmers’ flexibility development with the use of static and dynamic exercises is developed. The effectiveness of the developed program which allowed increase the swimmers’ flexibility development is proved.
