Development of graphical competence of future engineer at university

The aggravated contradiction between the demand of the industry in engineers capable of providing the high-quality graphical activities at all stages of engineering object development and the insufficient usage of higher education potential to develop the future engineer competences determines the relevance of the article. The possibility to develop the graphical competence of the future engineer at university taking into account the evolution of the engineer functions is proved. The concept of graphical competence of future engineer, its structure and content are clarified. The model of the graphical competence development of future engineer at university is designed. It is justified on the grounds of the specific content of the graphical process design of engineering objects. The theoretical space of pedagogical science on the problem of development of the engineer graphical competence is expanded. The developed model can be used in teaching engineering subjects.
