Development and regulation of beet sugar production in the Kyrgyz Republic

An assessment of the trends and features of the development of sugar beet production in Kyrgyzstan is presented. Factors of cyclical development of the industry that negatively affect the import dependence of the domestic market for sugar consumption are identified. It contains an assessment of the effectiveness of state regulation of sugar beet production. The shortcomings of the mechanism of cluster lending to agricultural producers, as well as the detrimental effect of the processing of imported sugar cane on the sustainable development of the industry, are identified. Approaches and recommendations have been developed to improve state regulation and competitive development of this industry.
