Development and improvement of non-profit institutions’ activities in the system of social services: the results of empirical research (on the example of Republic of Mordovia)

The article presents the results of the analysis of the experience of the activities of non-profit organizations in the system of social services for citizens of the Republic of Mordovia. The expert allowed to highlight the merits of the activities of the NCOs of the Republic of Mordovia: considerable experience of charitable activities has been accumulated, in the Republic of Mordovia there are many differently directed NGOs; wide coverage of different target groups; variety of forms and methods of activity of NGOs and other organizations. The main shortcomings are identified: the activities of NGOs in the Republic of Mordovia: there is no decent state support, an insignificant part of the population of the republic is included in this activity, develops chaotically, is poorly covered in the media and others. A number of recommendations on the development and improvement of the activities of NGOs in the Republic of Mordovia are suggested.
