Development and improvement of Chinese citation index database for social science articles

The citation index of scientific articles is an important indicator of scientific evaluation of humanities and social sciences with Chinese characteristics. This article examines the formation and development of a database of citation index of scientific articles, revealed the limitations and negative impact of scientific assessments database. A fair evaluation of scientific research must include a comprehensive evaluation, combined with other academic indicators, and focus on the quality of scientific articles rather than their quantity.
