Development of the Indian high school in the early twenty-first century and the state policy towards the acquisition of the status of a new superpower

The article is devoted to the development of higher vocational education in the contemporary India. The modern Indian high school is one of the largest education systems in the world. The author analyses the problems and the main trends of its development in the early twenty-first century, as well as the state policy in higher education.
