The article is devoted to the study of the role of the institute of public-private partnership in the process of financing infrastructure projects and relevant aspects of its improvement. The role of public-private partnership in financing infrastructure projects is analyzed using the example of successful public-private partnership projects in Russia and abroad, and prospects and challenges for the further development of this institution are identified. Public-private partnership is a modern mechanism of interaction between public and private structures (industrial organizations) aimed at the implementation of socially significant projects. The approach allows combining the resources and competencies of both sides to achieve goals such as infrastructure development, improving the quality of services provided, and ensuring sustainable economic growth. Public-private partnerships are actively used in the world to solve complex problems that require significant investments and long-term planning. Financing infrastructure projects is one of the key tasks for any state, since the standard of living of the population and the competitiveness of the economy depend on the state of infrastructure. In modern conditions of limited budgetary resources and growing demands for infrastructure development, the search for alternative sources of financing is becoming particularly relevant. In this context, publicprivate partnership is becoming an effective tool capable of attracting private investment and optimizing the use of public funds.
