Development of the institute of mediation in the Kyrgyz Republic: towards the question of strengthening public consent

The article is devoted to the analysis of the development of the institution of mediation in the Kyrgyz Republic in the context of strengthening public harmony and social stability. The legal, social and cultural prerequisites for the introduction and dissemination of mediation as an alternative method of conflict resolution are considered. The author focuses on the basic principles of mediation, its key functions, and the role of mediation practices in reducing the level of conflict in society. Particular attention is paid to the Kyrgyz experience of using mediation in family, labor and criminal cases, as well as the importance of traditional forms of reconciliation within the framework of the national mentality. The need for further institutional strengthening and popularization of mediation as an effective tool for peaceful resolution of disputes and the formation of a culture of dialogue in the Kyrgyz Republic is noted.
