The process of formation and development of high-tech production in the Russian economy has acquired the status of uncontested necessity. In the Strategy for scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation the transition to innovative economy is considered as an absolute imperative for long-term development of Russia. Within the framework of this strategy current priorities for scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation were identified, including nanotechnology industries, energy preservation, and transition to advanced digital and intelligent production technologies.
