Development of research competence of residency trainees as an actual direction in medical lifelong learning

The results of studying the process of developing research competence of medical university residents and the argumentation of the need for its formation are presented. It is shown that the implementation of the research activities of resident doctors allows us to monitor the effectiveness of the practical application of models of continuous medical education, during which they develop and create innovative products. The connection between modern trends in continuing medical education and the preservation and enhancement of human capital in the context of the development of technological sovereignty of our country is substantiated. The need for residents to master research competence and the practical significance of research experience in the medical profession, which affects the professional and personal growth of a specialist, have been proven. The specificity of the research activities of resident doctors in continuing medical education and its relationship with the solution of clinical problems are described.
