In recent years, in terms of the volume of grain production and its global trade, Russia makes the top three largest countries in the world. Export of grain, as world practice shows, is an important component of the country's grain market. The existing objective need for developing export potential of Russian grain market as a priority for domestic grain economy in the context of Russia's membership in the WTO, its strategic importance, and specific features of grain export demand the analysis of the Western Siberia's grain market functioning with the directions of its export potential development as a result of market transformations, along with the strengthening of the role of Russia's grain export in the world market. The position of Western Siberia as a grain-producing and exporting economic region in the share of Russian exports over the past ten years has been unstable. The urgency of analyzing the ten-year practice of the Western Siberia's grain market functioning, as well as the need to consider a number of theoretical aspects, strengthen the relevance of scientific research in this article.
