Development of sand landscapes of the western part of the Malkhan range (Western Transbaikalia)

The most important role of aeolian processes in the general structure of relief formation has been emphasized. The paper provides an update on the accumulation dynamics of bottom sediments of the aeolian lake Rybnoe, their age is established. The research of structural and textural features of the lake bottom sediments, their absolute radiocarbon dating tracked the dynamics of sedimentation processes depending on the climatic stages of the Holocene. Based on complex field landscape research and Earth remote sensing data, we compiled a landscape map of the western part of the Malkhanskii Range. We identified the main landscape-forming factors depending on the position in various types of relief. The map shows the forests on fire over the past 50 years.
