Development of the timber industry complex of the republic of Buryatia

The article deals with the functioning of the timber industry complex of the Republic of Buryatia. The paper describes the activity of the Selenga pulp-and-paper mill as the largest enterprise of the timber industry complex of the Republic of Buryatia, which contains most of the technology of the «green» economy, since it processes raw materials to the final product in conditions of severe environmental restrictions. The main specialization of other enterprises of the timber industry complex of the region is determined in the work. The main problems of development of the regional timber industry complex, as well as the possible ways of their solution are indicated.
