Development of agility in children of preschool age

The concept of dexterity is considered as one of the most important physical qualities in the life of a preschool child. The interrelation of dexterity with coordination abilities and flexibility is revealed. Attention is focused on the great role of educators and instructors in the physical development of children in modern times. The authors have developed a set of special exercises and outdoor games for the development of dexterity in children 5-6 years old, tests for determining dexterity and coordination are described in detail. The table of average results of agility indicators for five tests in preschool children is presented, the results of the pedagogical experiment on the basis of MDOU № 348 of the city of Volgograd are analyzed, the corresponding conclusions are drawn. The paper gives recommendations for the development of dexterity and coordination in preschoolers.
