The development of international cooperation between Russia and the Caspian basin countries in the tourist and recreational sector and the maritime passenger transport

The article deals with the problems and prospects of development of international maritime passenger transport in the Caspian basin. For the organization of international maritime passenger transport between the Caspian basin countries we propose to establish a "Caspian Logistics Center", which will be empowered to collect and process information between the countries of the Caspian basin. Competitive advantages of Dagestan in the tourist-recreational sphere, unique historical and cultural attractions allow the Republic to become a center of attraction for foreign tourists with the Caspian states, which will require the development of sea port infrastructure. Construction of a new port on the coast of the city of Derbent give impetus to the development of the city and the region as a whole.
