The development of students’ Mental Activity and Meanings in Higher Education using Sense-creating Technologies

Based on the experimental research, the ways of stimulating and developing students’ mental activity and meanings in the educational process of the university have been identifi ed. Semantic educational technologies have been developed and tested as a means of stimulating students’ free thoughts in an interactive educational environment. It has been revealed that tasks of an unexpected, dubious, contradictory nature, refl ecting diff erent ways of understanding and explaining the phenomena of the world, are necessary to stimulate and support free thoughts. The idea of using an electroencephalogram to track the internal mechanisms of the origin of neural impulses as the basis of students’ free thoughts is presented. The developed approaches have been tested at the Center for Interactive Technologies of Dagestan State University and are being implemented in the educational process to create an interactive educational environment for the intellectual and emotional development of students.
