Development of scientific communicationson in the CIS countries (by materials of questionnaire of scientists from the countries of the commonwealth)

The paper presents the results of the study on the role the Russian language plays in the CIS space, conducted on the basis of the survey carried among representatives of the scientific and educational community of the Commonwealth countries. As the survey data shows, the Russian language is quite widely used as the means of scientific communication in the CIS countries, while there are opportunities to expand its presence in the scientific and educational spheres.
