Developing the imaginative thinking of the designers-to-be as an issue of professional education

The article deals with the problem of developing imaginative thinking in the professional training of designers. Special attention is paid to the role of design in the formation of professional competencies of future design specialists. The importance of developing imaginative thinking in future designers through various means of graphic design, including computer technology, is emphasized. The main principles aimed at effective influence on the participant of communication are offered. The characteristic features of design and its significance in the development of students ' abilities for imaginative thinking are highlighted and described.
