The paper presents the results of the development analysis of international and Russian educational platforms for open education over the past 10 years. Methodology for investigating the benefits of a massive open online course in a blended learning model is substantiated. The results of the students' study of the MOOC “Foreign Economic Activity” developed under the Grant of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in 2020 and posted on the platform “Open Online Courses of Lobachevsky University” are visually and evidently presented. The results of the study confirm the feasibility of using MOOC in the blended learning model for training bachelors and specialists in foreign economic activity; development of professional and personal qualities among students in the process of learning MOOC FEA and their readiness for further training.
