The large-scale sanctions imposed by the West, aimed at the political and economic isolation of Russia, have a negative impact on almost all sectors of the country, including the agricultural sector. Limited markets for Russian agricultural and food products, problems related to their transportation as a result of the refusal of many foreign companies to work with Russia, a significant increase in transportation prices and other factors have seriously complicated the export and import of these products. In such conditions, the role of logistics increases many times, which is undergoing a serious transformation in modern conditions. Ensuring its own food security, Russia is constantly increasing the volume of agricultural products produced and their supplies to foreign countries, and is looking for opportunities to expand the geography of foreign trade. Given the complex changing geopolitical situation, it is becoming urgent to establish trade relations in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. In 2023 a significant share of Russian agricultural products was purchased by Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Sudan - a total of 43 African countries worth about $ 6 billion. The article analyzes the development trends and the geography of supplies of the main positions of Russian agroexport - grain and fat-and-oil products, which are traditionally in high demand. Egypt (60%) became the largest buyer of Russian vegetable oils, as well as Algeria (24%) and Sudan (10%). It was noted that the main importers of Russian agricultural products in 2023 were China, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Egypt.
