Development of the organic food market in the South Siberian macroregion

The article analyzes the features of the formation of the market for organic food products in the South Siberian macroregion. The natural resource potential of the region under study makes it possible to develop organic agriculture. An analysis of its development showed that this area of agriculture is developing extremely slowly. The development of the market for wild plants and their certification as organic raw materials for the food industry is slow. There are less than 10 enterprises in the fruit and vegetable canning industry that produce organic food products that comply with the principles of the Healthy Nutrition Concept in the South Siberian region. The study allowed us to conclude that in order to develop the market for organic food products, state support is needed for agricultural producers, organizations for the procurement of wild plants, and food industry enterprises.
