The article focuses on the questions of semantic development of Mongolian adjectives and semantic processes undergoing in the language. The term "linguistic semantics" is defined. The object of study are the adjectives in the Mongolian language. The subject of the study is based on semantic processes of the adjectives that are in a state of almost continuous movement, which characterized by the greatest variability and impermanence. The adjectives under study are carefully selected in the course of textual analysis of "Bolor toli" (a novel by Sh. Natsagdorj, a prominent mongolian writer) in the original language. A specific attention is paid to the processes leading to changes in the scope of word semantic - enlargement, contraction and transference of meaning of the words, as well as to classifying into lexical categories denoting relations between the words in the language, namely synonyms, antonyms, and homonyms.
