Development of a network approach in political science

This article is devoted to the development of a network approach in political science. The network approach is a new methodology for political science. However, today the network approach is widely used in social sciences. The article describes the prerequisites for using network analysis in political science. The paper studies the theoretical, methodological features of the network approach in political science. The article describes the concept of the network and its distinctive features. The author clearly shows the prospects of using network analysis in political science in the future. The article shows that the increasing dissemination of information and communication technologies kick start the development of the network approach.
