The development of general education in Russia

The article substantiates the importance of improving the quality of general education and the formation of a sovereign education system. It is concluded that education should be based on the principle of continuity. The importance of monitoring and conducting a comparative assessment of the quality of education aimed at identifying problems, developing recommendations for improving quality and determining the prospects for the development of the field of general education is emphasized. Using the example of the Kaluga Region, the interim results of regional projects implemented within the framework of the national Education project are presented.
