Development of high school education in the Bystrinsky district of the Kamchatka region in the 1920's - early 1950's

The article describes some aspects of schooling system development in the ethnical districts of the Kamchatka region during the 1920-s - early 1950-s by case study of documents and materials of the State Archive of the Kamchatka Krai. The author retraces establishment and development of the schools for indigenous peoples, and considers efficiency of their functioning. The special attention is paid to difficulties and failures during the process, and their reasons.
