Current development of the state procurement system in Russia

The article discusses current issues of the state and development of the contract system for the next five years, examines certain issues of improving control over public procurement, provides rationale for systemic measures to address a number of significant shortcomings and limitations, discusses the reasons and reveals the need for legislative changes in the contract system. The authors give the examples of individual practices of reforming regional procurements in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, including the Republic of Buryatia. They study the tasks planned for implementation in the public procurement system in order to increase the efficiency of the contract system.
