The article reveals the essence of the development of verbal reasoning among younger schoolchildren and younger schoolchildren with mental retardation. Procedures for the development of verbal reasoning among younger schoolchildren and younger schoolchildren with mental retardation in literary reading lessons are presented. The purpose of the study: the development and testing of tasks for the development of verbal reasoning among primary schoolchildren and younger schoolchildren with mental retardation in literary reading lessons.
