The article deals with the problems of social and labor sphere in the region during the transition to an innovative type of economic growth. The concept of regional social and labor spheres is given, their structure is shown. Basic elements of the author's methodology for the development of social and labor sphere in the region during the transition to an innovative economy are considered.
