The history of copyright law in Russia includes 3 stages: pre-revolutionary, Soviet and modern. The article examines the development of modern copyright law in Russia in the context of its constitutionalization. According to the author, this stage includes 3 periods. Each of these periods is characterized by certain specifics. In the 1990s and 2000s, the development of copyright law was decisively influenced by international treaties in the field of protection of copyright and related rights. A serious influence on Russian copyright law from the Constitution of the Russian Federation and constitutional values only since 2016 is observed.
