The acetabulum development after the closed reduction of the congenital dislocation of the hip in children

The results of treatment of 59 children under school age with congenital incomplete and complete dislocations of the hip are analyzed in the work. The closed centring of the femoral head in the acetabulum in the younger children using the Ilizarov fixator irrespective of femoral correcting osteotomy performance doesn't have a substantial effect on the acetabular fossa development and should always be combined with intervention in the iliac bone, and the character of such an intervention is determined by the initial parameters of the acetabulum.
