The article considers the possibilities of developing visual literacy of future primary school teachers when studying mathematical disciplines. The article highlights the features of using visualization tools when working with mathematical information. It describes the methodological equipment for developing visual literacy when studying the courses “Mathematical Foundations of Professional Training of Teachers” and “Theoretical Foundations and Technologies of Primary Mathematical Education”. The article presents the results of theoretical analysis of literary sources, observation of students' educational activities when working with mathematical text, and testing of the author's methodological materials. It concludes that the developed materials have a positive effect on developing students' visual literacy.
