The article presents the results of study of the reaction of oil flax variety VNIIMK 620 on sowing dates in sod-podzol moderately-loamy soil of the Middle Cis-Ural region in 2012-2013. The sowing oil flax variety VNIIMK 620 at the earliest possible time ensures the highest seed yield by increasing the field germination of seeds, plant density at harvesting time and the number of pods per plant.
